There are various versions of Peter Pan but it can all be summed up as a kid that did not want to grow up. Peter Pan decided that he wanted to stay a kid so he and a band of children lived in Neverland, made their own choices, played, and never grew up. The caveat is if they left Neverland they could not return.
The truth is many people who have experienced childhood trauma have had their childhood stole from them. They don't get an opportunity to enjoy being carefree and safe. THERE is no time like the present. Research shows that playing games whether it's board games or video games is beneficial for anxiety, depression, Alzheimer, among others. Yes it may seem to be a waste of time but being joyful or jovial is good for the soul.
So Take a trip to a comedy show, play with your kids, go to Andretti, Dave and Busters, or just sit around with your tribe and enjoy some laughs. It is good for your soul.
